MY FALL BUCKET LIST

September 25, 2018

For me, fall is the most wonderful time of the year! Don’t get me wrong, I love summer, but towards the end of August I start fantasying about falling leaves and peacoats while longing for a cuppa hot apple cider. Now that is officially autumn, I’ve put together a Fall Bucket List, so I’m sure to do all the best fall time activities!

Check out my Fall Bucket List below, and all the wonderful reasons to add these ideas to your own list!

FALL BUCKET LIST

01.  Go Apple Picking – Going out to a farm is the perfect activity in the fall! I know where I live there are a ton of “you-pick” farms where you can go out and pick a variety of fruits. My favorite thing to pick are apples. There are so many different types to choose from, and so many pies to bake!

02. Go to a Pumpkin Farm – Pumpkin farms are so picturesque! Pick out a pumpkin and take a bunch of Insta pictures while there! A lot of pumpkin farms have fun activities, like corn mazes and hay rides!

03. Take a Road Trip – I love taking road trips in the fall time! Bundle up, hit the road, and see some beautiful fall foliage!

04. Host a Friends-Giving – A Friend’s- Giving is a low key version of Thanksgiving just for you and your friends! No family drama, all your close friends, and more pie. Sounds pretty great right?

05. Have a Scary Movie Marathon – Rewatch some classics or watch a few new ones. Or if you are a chicken, like me, watch some classic children’s Halloween movies. Hocus Pocus, anyone?

06. Go for a Nature Walk – Go deep into the forest and take in the crisp, fresh air and the beautiful leaves. While you are out there, gather some keepsakes for your memory box!

07. Celebrate Oktoberfest – Beer, sausage, and pretzels…need I say more?

08. Make your own Halloween Costume – Sure you could buy a generic costume, but why not make something totally original and awesome yourself?

09. Decorate for Halloween – Set the spooky tone in your home! Don’t forget to make a few decorations all by yourself!

10. Bake a Pie or a Pumpkin Roll – Make use of all those apples that you got while apple picking! Or you could make a pumpkin roll with a perfect cream cheese spiraled center! …Heck, why not both!

11. Go Antiquing – Bundle up in a cozy sweater and hit up some local antique shops. Don’t have any near you? Take that road trip out into the country, and you’re bound to find a few! What could be better than a sunny fall day digging through old treasures?

12. Journal a List of What You Are Grateful For – This is a classic Thanksgiving activity doesn’t just have to be for the dinner table. Take some time to be mindful of things you are really thankful for. You don’t have to share it with anyone, make it personal and for yourself!

13. Go Zip Lining – While it is still warmish outside, zip around the treetops at your local zip lining course.

14. See a Play – Whether you go to a local theatre troupe or Broadway, seeing a play is a great way to spend the evening with friends or family.

15. Museum visits – Get out of the chilly weather and visit an art museum or two. I know I plan on visiting Chicago and hitting up the Art Institute and the Feild Museum!

I have done a few of these this fall and it makes the season come alive! It’s the best time of the year and as an Ohio native living in Florida I try to do my best each year to experience as much fall as I can. We have a local pumpkin farm and I can’t wait to visit it soon. Thanks for this sweet bucket list!

I feel like fall isn’t fall unless there are baked goods involved… it’s also such a nice time of year to be in nature since the weather is cool enough to not get overheated but it’s also not butt cold lol

YES, I so agree! I turn into a chipmunk when it comes to baked goods in the fall time (face stuffed), lol!
