Hi, I’m Deanna, the creator of Trinkets and Love! When I was growing up, I was one of those wild children always covered in paint, who doodled on every page of homework and may have ruined an item or two of my mother’s belongings for the sake of art. So, it was only natural that I heeded the call for my desire to create, and put it to good use, by going to Art School and where I received my BFA in Illustration. While attending school, I was always covered in paint, doodled on every page of homework, and did a whole bunch of exciting things for the sake of art.
These days I’ve been splitting my time working in the corporate world and as a freelance artist, living in South Bend, IN. With the love and support of my boyfriend, Adam, and our dog-child, Leela, I created the Trinkets and Love shop. A place for me to showcase and sell my whimsical, cute, and sometimes outright silly illustrations and gift items! The shop is dedicated to one simple idea: make as many cute things as possible, and share them with the world.
Trinketsandlove.com is a blog founded in February 2018, and it accompanies the Trinkets and Love store. Here you’ll find store and event updates, simple art and DIY tutorials, and glimpses into behind the scenes here in the studio.
