HALLOWEEN WREATH DIY

October 18, 2018

Can spiders and skulls be elegant? I say YES, all they need is some ribbon, flowers, and glitter! It is the spookiest time of the year, and I can’t help but be a little obsessed with making Halloween decorations. To add to this year’s collection, I decided I wanted to bring my Halloween spirit to my front door, by making a chic Halloween wreath! I love the idea of contrasting textures with a velvet ribbon and glittery flowers, and if I can say so myself, I think this Halloween wreath accomplishes the almost impossible…making spiders CUTE!

Get into the Halloween spirit with me with this super spooky and super easy Halloween Wreath DIY!

Glittery Halloween Fake Flowers

Halloween Pick (similar)

Glitter Spiders (similar)

Glittery Black Ribbon (similar)

Halloween Wreath DIY:

01. Decide where to place your Halloween pick on the wreath and push the stick through. If the pick has a bendable wire, wrap it around the back of the wreath and secure with hot glue

02. Remove the flower heads from your flower stems  and start arranging the flowers around your Halloween pick

03. Once you are happy with the arrangement, secure with hot glue and let dry

04. Take your black ribbon, and start wrapping it around the wreath. You want to wrap it as tightly as possible, and making sure to use hot glue to secure it

05. If possible, leave some of the length of the ribbon to use to hang the wreath. Decide what length to use of the leftover ribbon and fold it in half. Use hot glue to attach the back side of the ribbon to the wreath, and any places that might not be firmly secured to the wreath

06. Time for some spider fun! Arrange the glittery spiders around the wreath, using, you guessed it, hot glue to put them on

07. Depending on how you will attach the wreath, you can cut a slit on the backside of the ribbon loop to hang with a nail. Or you can simply attach it with a thumbtack, and hide the tack between the layers of the ribbon loop
